The Rondalla was actually influenced by the Spanish ensemble but is now known to be a Philippine cultural trademark. A group of stringed instruments played with a plectrum.

🪕 Octavina – mostly plays countermelody, but it can also play the piece’s or song’s melody
🪕 Laud – has the same number of strings, tuning and sound as the Octavina
🪕 Guitar – provides the harmony or the rhythmic pulse
🪕 Bajo / Double Bass – biggest and lowest sounding instrument

We provide a digital platform for the Philippine rondalla community and Filipinos abroad to access original Filipino and rondalla music, educational workshops, and high-quality instruments from one single source.
A one-stop shop for everything, including musical instruments, sheet music, an in-house group for hire, and education from the company’s master instructors. Musicondalla also has other allied services include music publishing, music production services, and other music education-related topics. We envision creating a digital and cultural platform where Filipino music teachers, musicians, composers, and songwriters can learn, perform, and connect with people all over the world.
